GHANA’S WORLD Cup hero Anthony Annan is a disappointed man, as his planned switch from Rosenborg of Norway to Sevilla of Spain is being prevented by his current employers.
Sevilla of Spain have for the past weeks engaged their counterparts at Rosenborg for Annan’s immediate release.
The Spanish club are prepared to part ways with a cash sum of 1.8 million Euros to poach Annan.
But Rosenborg officials are demanding an astonishing 4 million Euros before letting go Annan who is an integral member of their setup.
Reports reaching DAILY GUIDE SPORTS indicate that Sevilla are not prepared to up their offer.
The paper also gathered that Rosenborg are also not prepared to let go their prized asset unless the 4 million Euros is coughed up by the Spanish outfit.
Sevilla have threatened to back out of the talks if Rosenborg continue to demand the whopping amount.
Annan who is in the known about what is going on, is said to be frustrated and disappointed with the attitude of Rosenborg officials.
The midfielder has served the club for so many years; so he is surprised the officials are trying to impede his planned move.
Meanwhile, DAILY GUIDE SPORTS has gathered that Sevilla have warned to dump Annan for another Ghanaian- Sulley Muntari- if Rosenborg would not budge.
Muntari, also a midfielder, is praying for Inter Milan exit after warming the bench for the better part of the season.
