The body of a woman thrown into a pit toilet in Maswiakae, south east Limpopo, has been identified, police said on Thursday.
Lt-Col Mohale Ramatseba said she was 26-year-old Ramatsobane Molepo from Mathukhuthela village in Nebo.
She appeared to have been stoned to death, dragged from a house and thrown into the pit. Police were notified after a person intending to use the toilet discovered the body around 9am on Wednesday.
Ramatseba said police were looking for a St Ritas Hospital security guard Griffiths Maroga, 30, in connection with the murder.
No arrests had been made and a motive had not been established.- Sapa
