Mobile Network Operator, Tigo, has upheld the season’s purpose of showing love, giving a deserving treat to the needy and underprivileged children from the streets of Accra.

Tigo brought underprivileged children from Street Academy, James Town, Nima and the Africa Ball Community Development together as one big family to watch a movie and be treated to a fun-filled experience at the Silverbird Cinemas, Accra Mall.

After the movies, Tigo’s Santa distributed branded souvenirs like school bags, pens, mugs, bottles and books to every child.

Climaxing the event, Tuffour Mensa Bonsu, Tigo Ghana’s Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator urged the children to be studious and obedient to authorities.

He added that “Tigo is a fun brand that delights in putting a smile on the faces of the less privileged and giving them a memorable day in their lives.”

Some of the children expressed joy for being part of the event.

The event was also supported by two non-governmental organizations, Street Academy and the Africa Ball Community Development.

Marie-Eve Lemeux, the head of AbaCode Ghana expressed gratitude to Tigo for granting the children the opportunity to enjoy the festive season.
