When later today, the much and long-awaited testimonial match for Samuel Osei Kuffour comes off, not only will there be football stars from various parts of the globe to give some sparkling effect to the day’s event, but the programme has been assured of both executive and royal touch.

At the Baba Yara Stadium this afternoon, both ex Presidents John Rawlings and John Kufour will add executive touch to the day’s programme, ahead of the testimonial match. A courtesy call by the former Black Stars player to them, saw both former Presidents promising to be at the Baba Yara stadium to throw their weight behind Osei Kiffuor.

As if giving executive touch to the programme is not enough, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on whose land the testimonial match would be honoured, would also be among dignitaries to grace the occasion.

Also, football administrator-turned-chief, the Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayi Bonte II will also be there with a high-powered delegation of the Ga state to support Sammy Kuffour as he bids farewell to active football this afternoon.

After almost two decades of active football that brought him fame, success and money, Sammy Kuffour will this afternoon be bidding final goodbye to the sport that transformed his life, by leading a plethora of stars on the continent of Africa, Europe and elsewhere to engage the Black Stars in the testimonial match, expected to be full of fun and excitement at the Baba Yara Stadium.
