The Tunisian football team, “Club Africain” (CA) won the first leg of the Confederation of African Football finals against “Al Maghreb Al Fassi” a Moroccan football club based in Fes by a final result of 1-0.
The packed Rades stadium went into a frenzy in the 7th minute of the match after Alexis Mendomo scored a spectacular goal.
Tunisian football is currently dominating in African Club competitions. Last week (November 12th), the other big Tunis-based football club “Esperence Sportif de Tunis,” won the African Champions League.
The second leg will take place next week in Fes, where the “Club Africain” now has the advantage in being named champions of the Confederation of African Football.
