Isaac Chansa will likely go to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations with Zambia
Orlando Pirates players have been given an extended break and will return to training on January 9.
The club confirmed this on Thursday, noting that the team had played 23 matches so far in the 2011/12 season after winning both the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout competitions.
Many clubs will have their players back in the first week of January, but Bucs will give their players a few extra days off.
That will not be the case for the five players who have been called into the Bafana Bafana squad for the fixtures against Equatorial Guinea, Zambia and Ghana next month.
Moeneeb Josephs, Siyabonga Sangweni, Andile Jali, Oupa Manyisa and Daine Klate will camp with the national side from January 2 until the final game against the Black Stars on January 15.
It is unclear whether they will then be given some additional time off.
