A man will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Friday after he was found in possession of drugs, shark fins and illegal diamonds, police said.
The 36-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday when police at a vehicle check point at the corner of Wale and Rhodes streets in Cape Town pulled over a BMW car, Captain FC Van Wyk said.
“Inside the vehicle police found an unknown quantity of narcotics, shark fins, illegal diamonds and a gem tester.”
The vehicle was taken to a police station for further searching, and a large amount of cash was found inside, Van Wyk said. – Sapa
