AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has said it is vital that his team come away with a win in Tuesday’s Serie A match at Cagliari.
The Scudetto holders currently sit in second position in the Serie A table, just two points shy of leaders Juventus.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday the 44 year-old said: “We have to do everything to make sure we don’t slip up. These are three important points for the league.
“We have to get back to the top of the table and to do that we have to push forward and win even if it’s tough to do that in Cagliari.
“They play different at home, they leave very little space. We can think about the holiday after tomorrow.”
Milan will resume their season in 2012 against Atalanta.
