Rwandan president Paul Kagame has held private talks with his Ugandan counterpart president Yoweri Museveni at State House, Entebbe Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Kagame arrived in the country Sunday morning ahead of a two-day visit to attend the Young Achievers’ Awards ceremony that is slated to take place at Speke Resort in Munyonyo later today evening.
It is at this very event that Mr. Kagame will be honoured with a Lifetime Award.
The Young Achievers’ Awards 2011 ceremony, hosted by the Nabagereka (Buganda queen) Sylvia Nagginda, will see young men and women across the country rewarded for their innovation and excellence.
The two presidents, Museveni and Kagame, will be the guests of honour.
Mr. Kagame is accompanied by the Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Louise Mushikiwabo, the Rwanda Minister of Local Government, Mr. James Musoni and the Minister of Gender and Family Affairs, Inyumba Allosia.
Uganda’s State Minster for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Okello Oryem and Uganda’s Ambassador to Rwanda, Mr. Kabonero Richard, were also at State House, Entebbe to receive the Rwandan leader.
