President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has approved the appointment of a new Executive Director, Business Development, for NEXIM Bank. She is Mrs. Folake Itohan Salami whose appointment took effect from December 14, 2011.
Mrs. Salami has, over the past 15 years, held several management and executive positions across public, private, and non-governmental sectors. These include Union Bank of Nigeria, Gulf Bank of Nigeria, First City Monument Bank and Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria where she was the FCT Controller.
With her new appointment, the executive team of the Roberts Orya led NEXIM Bank is now fully equipped, administratively, to continue providing financing, risk-bearing facilities, market information and value-added business advisory services to Nigerian Exporter community towards the country’s non-oil export sectors in Manufacturing, Agro-processing, Solid Minerals and Services for job creation, foreign exchange generation and economic growth.
Mrs Salami who resumed officially at NEXIM Bank on December 20, was until her appointment, the Managing Director and Chief Executive of Crystal Multi-purpose Cooperative Society.
She is married with children.
