Cabinda — The Governor of Cabinda Province, Mawete João Baptista, encouraged Monday the players of the national football team to have a spirit of unity, aimed for a better preparation for the African Nations Cup (CAN2012), scheduled for January 21 to February 12, in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Mawete João Baptista made this statement while watching the second training session at Chiazi Stadium, as part of a three-week training of Palancas Negras in Cabinda Province.

According to the government official, the national team that will also have a friendly game with Cameroon, counts on the support and care of people from Cabinda, taking into account the warm way they received the national teams that are training in the province.

In this continental competition, Angola is part of group B, alongside Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire and Sudan, with the headquarter in Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea.
