LEADERSHIP of the Niger Delta Youth Movement, NDYM, has called on all members of the reconstituted board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC to learn from the lessons of the past, and not allow personal aggrandizement and unnecessary power tussle to get in the way of discharging their mandate of developing the Niger Delta region.

National President and National Secretary of the NDYM, Evangelist Godspower Odenema and Comrade Moses Omo-Ikirodah, respectively in a statement, Saturday after a NEC meeting of the group at the Movement’s Presidential Liaison Office at Ughelli, Delta State, commended President Goodluck Jonathan for appointing credible persons into the board of the NDDC.

The group in the statement said; “we critically and meticulously appraised the antecedents and pedigrees of all the members of the newly reconstituted board of the Niger Delta Development Commission – NDDC, and came out with the following affirmations.

“NEC excitedly and profusely thanked Mr. President for wasting no time in reconstituting the board of the NDDC dissolved recently.

“NEC heartily congratulated the Chairman, MD/CEO, Edfa, EDP and all other members of the board of the NDDC and wished all of them uncommon success in the various offices they have been appointed to serve their fatherland.”
