The about two million cedis worth SMS-based game, will give cash and Vodafone credits to several customers.

Head of Corporate Communications at Vodafone Ghana told journalists the game was targeted at all Vodafone pre-paid customers, and driven by customers sending a text message with the word “More” to short code 777 at a premium rate of 50Gp per text with the the one millionth texter winning grand prizes ranging from GHC 10,000 to GHC 100,000.

“Customers also stand the chance of winning other prizes at various points; every 100th, 1,000th, 10,000th, 20,000th all the way to the 100,000th texter will win airtime or cash – In all, Vodafone will give away GHC1.75m in cash and airtime,” she said.

She said the More Money game gave Vodafone customers the opportunity to win cash and airtime prizes as many times as possible in ten rounds of a game in which has no time limit.

“Every round ends with the one millionth customers to text and the first one millionth customer will win GHC10,000, the GHC20,000 and on and on till the 10th one million customer wins the ultimate prize of GHC100,000,” she explained.

Carmen Bruce-Annan said a new round automatically starts as soon as the text counter hits one million.

She said participating customers would always receive an informational text detailing the text number position and the location of the next prize point.

“Other prizes points include regarding every 100th texter will receive GH5 to use for on network calls – every 1000th texter will receive GHC10 credit to use for on-network calls and every 10,000th texter will receive a GHC 500 cash prize.

“Every 100,000th texter will receive a GHC1,000 cash prize and the millionth texter in the first round will receive GHC10, 000,” she added

According to Carmen Bruce-Annan, the ultimate grand prize is arguably one of the biggest cash prizes ever offered in Ghana, adding that was a clear indication of Vodafone’s strong commitment and dedication to rewarding its customers who have undoubtedly played an integral role in Vodafone’s success story.

She said all winners of the ‘More Money’ game will receive confirmation text messages declaring them as winners, adding that airtime prizes would be credited to the customer’s bonus account within 24 hours after the confirmation text had been received.

“Winners of cash prizes will also be contacted via a confirmation text detailing the cash prize and prize award date,” she said.
