Ndalatando — The Health Vice-minister, Evelize Fresta, praised on Wednesday in Ndalatando city the efforts made by the government of the northern Kwanza Norte province, aimed at reducing maternal and children mortality.
The official considered as very positive the work that is being implemented in this aspect in the region.
The Vice-minister said so to the press on Wednesday during her stopover in Ndalatando district on the way to the northern Malanje province.
In Ndalatando city, the official handed over a motorbike and 100 mosquito nets to local health authorities, aimed at helping them to combat malaria.
According to her, the pregnant women mortality in the province is reducing, saying that in June the region only recorded only two cases.
She also said that institutional and municipal committees are set up in the province in order to prevent maternal mortality.
Evelize Fresta also worked in Dondo locality, where she visited the local health centre and met with the municipal committee for the prevention of maternal mortality.
