Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has pleaded with Southampton to let him make a dream move to the Premier League amid interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.
Southampton chairman Nicola Cortese, however, is refusing even to speak to clubs regarding a possible move, and the 17-year-old has said that he is ready to make the step up.
“Southampton, and especially the fans, have been brilliant to me ever since I broke into the first team,” said Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to The Daily Mail.
“It has been fantastic helping them to get promoted. But now I feel I’m ready to play in the Premier League.”
A deal was thought to have been agreed with Arsenal in January, howeve, negotiations stalled over a 50 per cent sell-on clause.
