Luanda — The director for football of 1º de Agosto, José Chantre, is since Tuesday in Cote d’Ivoire, in order to learn about the condition of the Sunday’ match between his team and ASEC Mimosas of Abidjan.
The match is part of the first leg of the last eliminatory qualifying for the group phase of the Cup of the Confederation of African Football also dubbed “Nelson Mandela Cup”.
A source from 1º de Agosto said to Angop on Wednesday that the anticipated presence of the director for football is aimed at preventing eventual disagreable situation that may contribute to a negative performance of the team, such as issues related to logistics.
The match is expected to happen at the local Félix Houphouet-Boigny stadium.
1º de Agosto will travel to Abidjan on Friday.
