Luanda — 1º de Agosto lost on Thursday evening to Recreativo do Libolo by 84-89 in Luanda’s Rio Seco pavilion, in the last stage of the national senior males basketball championship “Final Four”.
This is the third time that title holders lose in the referred competition after beaten already by Interclube and Petro de Luanda.
In the first half of the match, Recreativo do Libolo were already winning by 38-31.
The player of Recreativo do Libolo Domingos Bonifácio was the best scorer of the match with 26 points.
With this result, 1º de Agosto fell to the third place with seven points, while Recreativo do Libolo occupy the second position with eight points.
Petro de Luanda lead the competition with 10 points.
