Galka’yo — After heavy clashes between local clan militias, Puntland’s new administration of Mudug region on Wednesday has imposed a nighttime curfew in Galkayo town.
At least one person was killed and six others injured in clan related clash that rocked parts of the town of Galkayo.
The curfew is said to have taken effect from 6pm local and will last 6pm, according to the to the new Puntland administration in Galka’yo.
A lot of Puntland security forces could be seen in all roads, street and the neighborhoods of Galka’yo.
Two weeks ago, two mosques in the town had come under attack, leaving more that 7 people dead and 14 others hurt.
