The President, Egbe Omo Oodua in Ireland, Mr. Akintola Lofinmakin, has said that the group will exhibit Yoruba cultural heritage in Ireland, adding that activities had been scheduled for the event.
He said showcasing the Yoruba cultural values would help Yoruba people in the Diaspora to stay connected to their origin, adding that it would also improve tourism and increase foreign exchange earning for Nigeria.
In a statement on Thursday, Lofinmakin said, “The Yoruba children, who have never set their feet on Yoruba land but have heard a lot of stories about Yoruba legends, traditions, cultural values, folklores, heroes and deities will not be totally lost if they associate themselves with their origin by partaking in the events of which this organisartion has taken upon itself to be updating Yoruba sons and daughters in Diaspora.”
