THE People’s Mandate Party (PMP’s) presidential candidate for the 2011 elections, Dr. Batos Chikezie Nwadike, will kick off his campaign today in Lagos.
Also, Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will launch its campaign today.
According to a statement by the Spokesman and Director of Media and Communications of the PMP’s Presidential Campaign, Esanerovo Agbodo, the rally holds at the Berger Automobile Market Square, on the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway at noon.
There will also be a fund-raising dinner put together by friends and well-wishers of the presidential campaign same day at Bluenest Hotel, Ajao Estate, Lagos at 8.00 p.m.
Deji Oni, the director of Media and Publicity of the Legacy Continuity Kwara 2011 Campaign Organisation, in a statement, said all the PDP candidates for various offices in the state would be presented with the party’s flags at the event scheduled to hold at the Metropolitan Square along Asa Dam Road, Ilorin at 10.00 a.m.
Governorship candidate of the Kwara State PDP, Alhaji Abdulfatah Funso Ahmed, will be presented with the PDP flag at the rally.
Governor Bukola Saraki will lead PDP stalwarts to the rally where he is expected to canvass support for the party’s candidates.
Kwara-born Fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, will be on the bandstand. .
