The governorship candidate of National Conscience Party, Mr. Ayodele Akele, has asked a Lagos High Court in Ikeja to restrain a private station, Channels Television, from going ahead with its governorship debate for some political parties in the state scheduled for Wednesday (today).
The claimant is alleging exclusion by the station.
In a motion ex-parte filed on Tuesday, Akele sought an order restraining Channels Television and their agents from conducting the Lagos State governorship debate pending determination of the matter.
The case has been assigned to Justice Opeyemi Oke and will be heard today.
