The story sought to strike a contrast between the Asantehene\u2019s modest life in London when he was working for a local council before ascending the throne to what the BBC now describes as his grand lifestyle which includes playing golf and meeting some of the world\u2019s most important people.<br \/>\nAhead of the meeting, one of the elders at the Palace, the Akyempemhene told Citi News that the story is false.<br \/>\nHe said they are yet to investigate the story but added that all indications show that the publication is nothing but a mere fabrication. \u201cWe are in the process of holding a meeting to investigate the truthfulness or otherwise of that story because I don\u2019t believe that story. Speaking for myself and knowing the King like I do I can\u2019t believe it unless we do some checks on it\u201d.<br \/>\n\u201cIt is not true, it can\u2019t be true. It is a very serious allegation that has been made against the King\u201d.
