Isaac Vorsah Handed Two-Match Ban

Hoffenheim have received a hefty blow in the aftermath of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Stuttgart.
The DFB sports court ruled that centre-half Isaac Vorsah should be suspended for two matches after the Ghana international earned a red card for an off-the-ball collision with Christian Gentner.
The incident, which took place in the 41st minute, prompted Vorsah’s dismissal by referee Jochen Drees even though it seemed to be unintentional.
The DFB nonetheless stood by Drees’ decision and issued a suspension that will see Vorsah miss out on the rest of the fall campaign, which includes matches against Nuernberg and Wolfsburg.
Vorsah’s unavailability leaves Hoffenheim coach Ralf Rangnick with a selection headache.
Josip Simunic and Manuel Gulde are also injured, and the coach has deemed 18-year-old Jannik Vestergaard unready for Bundesliga competition.
Matthias Jaissle could fill in for Vorsah, but the 22-year-old is only just returning after a long injury lay-off, and whether he is capable as a deputy remains in question.
