Rajevac Wants South Africa Fans Support

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has glossed over the defeat they suffered at the hands of Germany in the last group match by stating that the most important aspect is that they

are the only African side through to the Last 16 stage.

Rajevac says with his Black Stars being the only African side confirmed in the knockout stages he is hopeful that they will enjoy massive support.

“I don’t know if this will happen, but I just hope that South Africans will throw all their support behind Ghana so that we can benefit from their massive support.

“We do not have a lot of time to be enthusiastic about our qualification, we just have to forget about Germany now and look ahead,” says Rajevac looking ahead to the game against the USA in the last 16.

“We knew that it would be difficult and we knew from the beginning that Germany would be a tall order. But we delivered a good game and held our own. Germany had to fight hard for their win tonight.”

Rajevac says his only concern, and a big one for that matter, is the fact that Ghana’s goals have both come from the penalty spot.

“I don’t know how to explain this. We have created the chances from which we could have scored the goals, but we have had bad luck in finishing. I hope that we score in the next round,” he says.
