King Kenny Wants Liverpool Job

There’s no escaping the big one today – Kenny Dalglish has reportedly removed himself from the selection process and put his name forward as the next manager of Liverpool.

The Anfield legend led Liverpool to three titles and two FA Cup wins during his dominant reign in the 1980s and never finished outside the top two.

He left in 1991, citing health reasons, but returned in 2009 after an invitation from Rafael Benitez to take on ambassadorial duties and help with the youth set-up.

Dalglish would undoubtedly be a popular choice among Liverpool fans, and many feel the 59-year-old is the only man with the influence to keep Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres at the club.

Joe Cole update: According to reports, Cole will be officially released by Chelsea, along with Germany’s crocked captain Michael Ballack.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are all hovering with intent.

Some sources are linking Ballack with a possible move to Real Madrid, to be reunited with his former Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
