Newly crowned Ghana League champions Aduana Stars have announced they will play in next yearÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Caf Champions League.
The Dormaa-based club are unfazed by the huge financial commitment and are prepared to partake in the continentÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s prestigious club competition.
Ghanaian clubs have accrued huge debts after playing in continental club football and have in recent times withdrawn their participation.
Ã¢â‚¬Å“The town was full of jubilant supporters and all of them went to the ChiefÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s palace and the traditional ruler promised to fund our trip in the CafChampions League,Ã¢â‚¬Â the clubÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s spokesperson Kwame Afari said on a local radio station.
Aduana Stars edged AshGold to the league title on the final day of competition on the head-to-head rule.
