Noble Arrics Demand Obodai Transfer Fee

Array

Noble Arrics, the former juvenile club of Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Obodai, are demanding Euro 15,170 from The

Netherlands Football Association for the transfer of the player.

To this end, the colts club has put in a claim for the solidarity of his movement from Ajax Amsterdam to Germinal Beerschot in Belgium and then back to Ajax, and later to Sparta and now RKC.

The club is asking for the transfer fee so that it could prepare an invoice and attach it with the player’s passport and a confirmation letter from the Ghana Football Association.

However, The Netherlands Football Association turned down the request, saying the club is not entitled to any solidarity contribution for these transfers.

According to the football association, in a correspondence to Noble Arrics, the solidarity mechanism incorporated in the FIFA regulations applies to international transfers of players and can be referred to by clubs throughout the world.

“Our national solidarity mechanism only applies to national transfers; thus transfers within the Netherlands; and can only be referred to by members of our association.”

However,  Solomon Neequaye, a director of Noble Arrics says the Ghana Football Association is helping the club to recover the money by reporting the matter to FIFA.
