A Sekondi District Magistrate Court on Thursday bonded George Larfo, a 22-year old fisherman at Anlo-Beach near Shama to be of good behaviour for two years for threatening to kill his father.<\/p>\n
The accused, who pleaded guilty, would serve six months imprisonment in hard labour in violation of the bond.<\/p>\n
Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Richard Boatey said on November 13 last year, the accused put on the trousers of his younger brother and went to the beach.<\/p>\n
He said the brother questioned him when he saw him wearing his trousers but the accused became offended and assaulted the brother.<\/p>\n
ASP Boatey said the father, Kelvas Boir Lokpo, who is also a fisherman, went to the rescue of the younger brother but the accused assaulted him too.<\/p>\n
He said after assaulting the father, the accused took a cutlass and threatened to kill him.<\/p>\n
ASP Boatey said a witness in the case helped to overpower the accused who was later handed over to the police.<\/p>\n
