Lil Wayne questioned over drugs

Lil WayneRapper Lil Wayne and 11 people, who were travelling with him, were briefly held by US Border Patrol officers after marijuana was found on his tour buses.

Authorities said the star – whose real name is Dwayne Carter – was questioned and released.

The case has now been referred to the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office.

The rap star had been scheduled to play a gig in Laredo in Texas, but minutes before it was supposed to start, it was announced it would be postponed.

A marketing manager for the venue told the Corpus Christi Caller-Times that it would be rescheduled.

Lil Wayne’s music manager Cortez Bryant and talent agent Cara Lewis did not immediately returned phone messages left at their offices.
