Atlantis FM Back After 24Hrs

Atlantis FM Back After 24Hrs THE MANAGEMENT OF Atlantis 87.9 Fm says they are determined to restore transmission again and get back on air within 24 hours.

Madam Sylvia Darko, General Manager of the Accra-based radio station, in an interview DAILY GUIDE said, “We are doing everything possible to get back on air in the wake of the surprise incident”.

She assured the station’s many listeners and customers that they will begin transmission on the ground

floor of the station within the given time, until they can recover form the incident.

She has attributed the cause of last Wednesday night’s fire which started at 7: 45pm to electric power fluctuation.  The fire caused damage to properties of the station worth GH¢2000.

The fire, according to Darko, began in one of the offices on the first floor of the building and could have been put off easily by the fire service personnel who arrived 20minutes after Madam Darko called them to make a report about the fire.

She said the fire officers only concentrated their water hoods on the first floor of the building in an attempt to quench the fire instead of using the hoods on the source of the fire.
