Prince Tagoe Linked With Fulham Switch

Fulham have added themselves to the list of clubs chasing the signature of Ghana's Prince Tagoe.Currently playing in the Saudi Premier League, Prince Tagoe has been linked with a switch to numerous European clubs over the past few weeks, the latest addition being Premier League outfit Fulham FC.

Ghanaian football newspaper 90 Minutes caught up with Tagoe to find out what his true intentions are and if he was to depart Al-Ettifaq this summer.

“Aside of Valencia
and Hoffenheim, Fulham have also declared their interest,” Tagoe revealed.

“I’m delighted as my dream is to play in the English Premiership and it would be a delight to play alongside John Paintsil.”

The Ghana international did however state that it was very important for him to be considered a first team player, so as not to hamper his international career.

“Whichever club I decide to join eventually should not affect my place in the Black Stars as my biggest priority like all others is to be part of the Ghana squad for the 2010 World Cup,” he went on.

“I have to make sure that I join a club that I can play day in and day out and not just go and warm the bench and lose my place in the national team.”

John Paintsil was also quoted in the Ghanaian paper as saying that he had been asked what he thought of Tagoe as a player.

“Yeah the Fulham scouts contacted me and asked me about Prince Tagoe,” said the right back.

“I gave them my opinion and told them that Prince is my national team colleague and a deadly finisher as well.”
