Who is responsible for sexual harassment in nollywood?

Who is to be held responsible for the much maligned “sexual harassment” in nollywood?… the half-nude girls who come for auditions or the tantalised producers?…

…now that exposure of mammary glands has become the “in thing’ amongst our single and married ladies especially in our major cities, i find it difficult to blame the men…this is more so because i was similarly tantalised a few months ago…

…it was at an audition we advertised for a documentary to be produced principally by femi jarrett for WHO…it was meant to show the prevalence of tuberculosis in ajegunle through the lifestyles of members of a family…one of the scripts was for a young gal of about 18-20 yrs and more than 20 girls wanted the part…Luciano was part of the panel to observe their deliveries and make recommendations….but it was obvious many of those girls looked at me just once and decided in their minds that i was the one providing money for the film…

…round after rounds of deliveries and as they were being eliminated some tension started mounting… then suddenly i saw one of the girls after her delivery looking at me intensely followed with an “am available” movement of the eye…a very beautiful girl i thought briefly but i pushed the thought out of my head…then she came back for another round and it was more open and more intentional…but immediately she left femi jarrett asked if i noticed the gal’s passes at me and i said yes…he then asked whether we should eliminate her immediately and i disagreed…i was enjoying every attention of this young girl who was probably not older than my last daughter…then she came in again and did her act and she was very good…then i decided to pop the question openly to everyone’s hearing…”you want to go out with me or me with you?”…first stunned silence…then the denial and then the laughter…but i know i could have had her if i wanted to…she was after all purposely clad for it…and what was the overall effect?…very, very TANTALISING!

…when i got home and told my wife what happened…her reaction?…i can’t describe it here…

…i have noticed that sexual harassment questions usually go to the women and hardly to the men…the experience recounted here may prove helpful to anyone who is really seeking more truth on the matter…in this case i was the hunted….

…now that you have read the story you may wish to ask yourself if it was made up or whether i misread the intention of the girl…but no,it was not!…no i did not!…it was not my first experience any way but this particular one took place in zeb ejiro’s office in surulere…
