Hamilton Academicals battle to survive relegation suffered a jolt this weekend at the New Douglas Park.
It was Prince Buaben’s Dundee United that stunned them 1-0.
Derek Asamoah made his second appearance off the bench in the 59th minute for Hamilton.
Buaben was in full time action for the visiting Dundee United.
In Italy:
Palermo staged a dramatic comeback at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to cancel a Mario Balotelli opener and Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty.
Sulley Muntari was replaced on the 79th minute by Luis Figo.

Hoffenheim suffered yet another defeat in the German Bundesliga, pushing them further down on the League table.
VfL Bochum took a bold step to lift themselves out of the relegation quagmire finding the back of the Hoffenheim three times.
Striker Carlos Eduardo was shown the exit before Daniel Haas had an early shower.
Isaac Vorsah substituted after 46 minutes.
Derek Boateng earned a second start for FC Cologne playing 90 minutes as they as lost at Borussia Dortmund.
Boateng played in the right side of midfield for Cologne but they were beaten 3-1.
Schalke O4 crucified Karlsruhe 2-0 at the Veltins Arena rooting them further to the bottom of the league table.
Godfred Aduobe returned in midfield for Karlsruhe but his efforts were not enough as the depleted Karlsruhe side lost.
In the Bundesliga II, former Black Stars striker Isaac Boakye was in full time action as Nurnberg bettered their chances of Bundesliga return.
Boakye got he set-piece that resulted in Nurnberg’s first goal in their 0-3 win over Oberhausen.
Belgium:
King Osei-Gyan’s effort in the regulation could not help Germinal Beerschot escape from the hands of Zulte-Waregem.
The 19-year-old created the opener for Beerschot but could not sustain the pressure from Zulte as they were beaten narrowly, Germinal Beerschot 1-2 Zulte-Waregem.
Left-back Nana Asare remains one of the most consistent Ghanaian players in Europe.
He lasted in KV Mechelen’s away win over Mons-Bergen.
In Holland:
AZ Alkmaar’s dream of clinching a fifth Eredivise title was dashed although they piped their opponents by a lone goal.
Alkmaar beat Mathew Amoah’s NAC Breda by a lone goal.
Amoah wasted a glorious opportunity on the 32nd minute.
Another Ghanaian has broken into the FC Utrecht first team squad.
Erixon Danson sat on the bench whiles Francis Dickoh was in involved in full time action for the visiting FC Utrecht.
Champions PSV Eindhoven silenced them 2-0.
Eric Addo remained on the Roda JC bench again for another weekend.
In the Dutch second-tier League, Gideon Boateng scored the third goal for MVV Maastricht when they planted a 4-1 score line at home to RBC Roosendaal.
The 19-year-old came on in the second half of the game but his brilliance fetched MVV the third goal just 10 minutes after coming on.
FC Eindhoven only picked a point from their game with Go Ahead Eagles.
Dickson Agyemang exhibited brilliancy midfield for F.C Eindhoven. Prince Asutonbeng came on in the 64th minute for FC Eindhoven.
Fred Benson’s 67th and 73rd minutes double helped RKC Waalwijk seal a 3-0 win over Telstar Ijmui.
In France:
Title chasers Bordeaux posted a 2-0 disgrace over Auxerre at the L’Abbe-Deschamp
Moussa Narry played 90 minutes for the mid-table club.
Nice romped to a resounding 2-0 victory over Lorient at home.
Ghana’s Under-20 skipper Andre Ayew was a 71st minute substitute for Lorient.
St. Etienne’s quest to be the first team to plunder all three point from Stade Rennais did not materialize as they were narrowly beaten by the enterprising Rennes side.
Asamoah Gyan replaced Moussa Sow on the 73rd minute mark
In England:
Michael Essien was dropped from the Chelsea squad that earned a shaky 4-3 victory over Bolton Wanderers.
Roy Hodgson took Fulham to the City of Manchester Stadium to silence the premierships “Money Bags” Manchester City 3-1.
John Paintsil maintained his right-back role for the Cottagers as they smoothly edge past a depleted City side.
In the Coca-Cola Championship, bottom club Charlton Athletic drew at home to second placed Birmingham City.
Lloyd Sam almost completed the game but was subbed on the 90th minute mark.
Chris Dickson also replaced Thierry Nor after 79 minutes.
At the Memorial Stadium in the League Two, former Arsenal youngster Jonathan Osei-Kuffuor scored the goal that separated Bristol Rovers and Northampton.
Kuffuor volleyed a left footer into the bottom right corner on 72 minutes but was substituted later.
Others:
Midfielder William Tiero scored the all important goal that decided the game for Academica Coimbra in their away game with former European Champions Benfica.
The former Asante Kotoko playmaker netted the match winner just after 23 minutes but managed to hold on to the lead.
Ibrahim Salou played 90 minutes for Velje in the Danish as they lost to FC Midtjylland 2-3.
Salou was enjoying full time action while Kodja Afriyie was missing in the Midtjylland defence.
David Nii Arday and Issah Ahmed were missing in action for Randers FC as they were demolished at away to FC Nordsjaelland at the Furum Park.
Lucerne’s combat of relegation survival received a major boost on Thursday. They defeated Vadux 3-1.
Kwabena Asamoa-Frimpong was key in the win as he helped them through-out the entire game.
In the MSL, striker Patrick Nyarko helped Chicago Fire pick a vital away point from San Jose after a comprehensive three all draw game.
Nana Attakora-Gyan was an unused substitute for Toronto FC as they shared the points with Dallas at home.
In far away Israel, Samuel Yeboah took his goal tally to 13 after his 33rd minute winner for Hapoel Tel Aviv over the weekend.
A 9-man Maccabi Tel Aviv thrashed Abdul Samed ”Okocha” Bnei Sachnin 0-3.
Stephen Offei played the entire duration for Hapoel Tel Aviv in their away loss to Ransford Osei’s Maccabi Haifa.
Osei was a 32nd minute substitute.
In Greek Hellenic League, Bernard Kumordzi struck the opener for Panionios on the half hour mark as they demolished Thrasivoulos 4-0.
