Musicians desperate for awards

A number of gospel musicians who are desperate for awards this year have intensified their campaigns to solicit more votes from the general public to enable them grab one.

Some of these desperate gospel musicians, also known as ministers of God, have gone to the extent of using their music videos on television to appeal to music lovers to vote for them at the 10th Ghana Music Awards slated for this Saturday, April 4, at the Accra International Conference Centre.

These gospel musicians are spending huge sums of money to buy MTN credit cards for friends and loved ones to vote for them.

Those who do not have enough money to buy votes are rushing to some radio stations to assist them in their campaign for more votes.

Investigations revealed that a well-known gospel musician has so far spent over GH¢400.00 on MTN credit cards for friends to vote for her.

Our investigations further revealed that some of the gospel musicians have also undergone series of prayer sessions with pastors and prophets to open avenues for them to grab awards whilst others have started a seven-day dry fasting which will end on Saturday morning, the day of the awards ceremony.
