The 10th MTN Ghana Music Awards (GMA) festival is scheduled for this Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Accra International Conference Center.
The event will witness top music stars in the country picking home awards including ‘Artiste of the Year’ and ‘Discovery of the Year’ among others.
Now, all attention towards who wins the ‘Discovery of the Year’ award which is fiercely contested is focused on Gifty Osei, a gospel musician.
Indeed this category is the most competitive, with musicians like Gifty Osei, Asem, Wanlov Kubolor, Klala and Richie competing for it. ÂÂ
The ‘Discovery of the Year’ award is meant to motivate the artiste who gets it, since it will definitely go to the newest face on the music scene. ÂÂ
Many music fans including some media houses acknowledged that Charterhouse has done its work well with regard to the ‘Discovery of the Year’ category, but maintained that the events organizer’s work will be incomplete if Gifty Osei does not grab that award.
