‘I’d Love To Join Arsenal’

SALOMON KALOUSALOMON KALOU has stunned Chelsea by admitting he would love to play for bitter rivals Arsenal.

Ivory Coast star Kalou revealed he is a huge admirer of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

And he says he will consider leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

The confession will come as a huge blow to new Blues boss Guus Hiddink.

The Russian, who is already without England midfielder Joe Cole, has started Kalou in his first two matches in charge.

But his place in the side could be in doubt after this shock outburst.

Kalou, 23, said: “Wenger said he thought of signing me? That’s an honour for me, an honour.

“Because he is a very great coach and I know that every single player in the world dreams of playing for him.

“I have a lot of respect for him, he is one of the best coaches in the world so why not?

“I am still under contract with Chelsea but of course I have plenty of friends who play for Arsenal in Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue and Emmanuel Adebayor.

“They are achieving huge things at Arsenal and watching them play is just beautiful.”

Kalou has seen his chances limited at Chelsea in the past.
