Boateng Releases Album

Paa BoatengWhile it is common to encounter gospel musicians whose first albums make them household names but are later not too successful in subsequent works, Paa Boateng’s case is different, because his second album, Engyegye Ohia Abaaba has rather made him hit big in the country.

The title track of the album is one that has enjoyed massive airplay in both Kumasi and Accra since its release last year and according to the young artiste the album is doing well on the market.

Paa Boateng is not new in the gospel music industry and though his first album, Onyame Ba, became an instant hit about three years ago, his second 8-track album has been described by many music lovers as the true discovery of a promising star.

Though the backing voices sound male-dominated, the lyrics come out clearly in the respective treble, alto and baritone parts as they sing about the children of God being victors over the destructive plans of the devil.

One of the tracks, Maye Nhyira is a good reggae song in which the artiste urges listeners to hold on to the faith they have in God for more blessing.

Most of the songs on the album are rendered in mid-tempo reggae with the powerful voice of Paa Boateng coupled with good instrumentation.

All songs on the album were recorded and produced by New Age Records.
