The Barcadis Nite Club located in the harbour city of Tema has established itself as the hottest night club in the harbour city.
Management of the club, as part of plans to let Barcadis maintain its place on the entertainment scene has in store some exciting packages to entertain those who visit the club.
Starting from this weekend, the club will be hosting some of the country’s hottest presenters and big names in the showbiz industry as part of a jam it is organizing in collaboration with Hitz FM, an Accra based radio station, tonight and Saturday.
On February 14 – Valentine’s Day – which is celebrated in Ghana as Chocolate Day, the club would organise a party for patrons.
This is expected to attract a large number of love birds or couples from Tema and beyond. Some couples after the enjoyment are likely to take home some mouthwatering packages. ÂÂ
“We want to reward some of the couples who patronize the night. The best three well dressed couples would be rewarded with some attractive packages,†said Ken Braimah, General Manager of the club in an exclusive interview with BEATWAVES.
According to him, they would be looking at decent dressing and not the usual hot kind of dressing that clubbers are noted for. “Night club is not only about dressing hot. No. You can wear a decent normal dress and standout better than those who wear all short bikini dresses.â€Â
Come February 27 too, the club would be organizing another birthday bash for Chris Waddle, one of the big boys in Tema. This is also anticipated to be a big party which would bring together some of the key players in show business.
Barcadis Nite Club, though was established less than two years ago, stands tall among the best nite clubs in town. It is some few minutes drive from the Tema Community 4 Police station and operates from Thursdays to Sundays. Unlike the many clubs in town, it’s free for ladies throughout the week without any time limit. Besides, guys pay meagre amounts to patronize the place.
The club boasts modern bars, two spacious VIP lounges and a disco dance floor, as well as state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. There is also a pool game area, big enough to host more than two hundred people at a time.
“The game area alone can host all occupants of a night club in Ghana,†Ken said. There are also mini rooms for one’s privacy.
Barcadis has a very big car park, good security system as well as a well established restaurant. Throughout the week, omotuo is served at the restaurant alongside the usual continental, Ghanaian and other African dishes. ÂÂ
For the past year and a half, Barcadis has hosted a number of personalities including Ghana’s rising hiplife and hiphop artistes.
It has also hosted a number of after parties and eviction parties for TV3 Gangstarz reality show evictees and other events.
The club is expected to step up its activities to take total control of clubbing in the whole country. “Barcadis is going to be one of the hottest clubs in Ghana. I don’t want to put our plans in the public domain but when we are through you will see,†said the manager of the club.
