Kwabena Boafo, skipper of Accra Hearts of Oak is hoping Sunday’s game between Hearts and Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium would enable him gain a call up into the local Black Stars.
The local Black Stars have been in camp preparing for the impending inaugural CHAN competition slated for Ivory Coast this month.
And the tough defender who for sometime now has been given a defensive midfield role is looking forward to a good game against the Porcupine Warriors, in order to convince Coach Milovan Rajevac to include him in his list of invited players preparing for the competition.
He has just returned from injury after leading the Phobians to two wins in the league and is hoping to lead the Phobians against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
In a related development, Bernard Dong Bortey and teenage sensation, Tawrick Jibril could feature for Hearts in Sunday’s league game against Kotoko.
The two have been registered by the Phobians and this makes them eligible to play for the team on Sunday.
