Etim Esin Demands Hefty Defamation Pay-Off From Jay-Jay Okocha

Lawyers acting on behalf of Esin said they have served Okocha a legal notice after it was alleged that he accused Esin of stealing a phone during a Christmas Eve party held in Okocha’s Lagos home last year.

Esin, who played professionally in Belgium, said Okocha wrongly accused him of theft in the presence of his wife and daughter.

Okocha has been served a seven-day ultimatum to apologise publicly for defaming Esin and also pay the sum of 100 million naira as damages for slander, battery and wrongful detention.
