Egypt recall Zidan for Ghana tie

Egypt recall Zidan for Ghana tie Highly-rated Egyptian striker Mohammed Zidan has been recalled by the African champions for next month’s international friendly against the Black Stars at the Cairo International Stadium.

The 27-year-old Borussia Dortmund player was named by Hassan Shehata for the first time in eight months, since the 2-0 friendly defeat to Argentina in March.

The Egyptian FA announced the names of six other foreign-based players to represent the national team in the game scheduled for 11 February.

European-based quartet Essam Al-Hadari, Mido, Amr Zaki and Mohamed Shawky were named, alongside Arab-based duo Hosni Abd-Rabou and Emad Meteb.

The full squad will be unveiled on February 5th, after the 16th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
