I’m Not Dead- Hackman

Hackman Owusu-AgyemanHACKMAN Owusu-Agyeman, Member of Parliament for New Juaben in the Eastern region, has denied reports that went round some media houses yesterday that he was dead.

Around 3 p.m. yesterday, reports reached a number of media houses in Accra that Mr. Owusu-Agyeman had kicked the bucket and immediately, frantic attempts were made to authenticate the report.

Interestingly many phone calls to him went unanswered, thus persons close to him were contacted but they all denied knowledge of his reported death.

When DAILY GUIDE reached Mr. Owusu-Agyeman, he said he was not dead but was alive and healthy. Indeed, he was attending regional meeting of the NPP in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua.

He expressed surprise at the reports of his death and disclosed that a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had called him earlier to inquire of his health status.

Mr. Owusu-Agyeman said he was in a meeting with leading members of the NPP and that might have accounted for him not picking his calls.

He gave an account of his rounds for the weekend and gave an assurance to his friends, relatives and sympathisers that he was not dead.

Mr. Owusu-Agyeman was born on November 22, 1941, at Effiduase- Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

He is a founding member and strong pillar of the NPP and occupied various ministerial portfolios when the party was in government.
