Tottenham Offer Appiah Contract

Tottenham Offer Appiah Contract After waiting for so long to get a club, Black Stars Captain Stephen Appiah has been offered a contract by English giants Tottenham Hostpurs.

Though details of the contract was not immediately known, information reaching DAILY GUIDE SPORTS indicates that Appiah has been given a contract till the end of the year, subject to renewal.

At the time of going to press yesterday, the Ghana Captain was given the contract to study, and subsequently append his signature if he finds it satisfactory.

According to a Ghanaian BBC sports reporter Ibrahim Sannie Darrah, the combative midfielder has so far impressed coach Harry Redknapp who admires African players.

Speaking on a CITI FM sports programme yesterday, Sannie Darrah explained that the former Juventus star’s strength and pace as well as combative skills triggered a quick signing by Spurs.

“I was with Appiah throughout yesterday as he completed medicals”.

If Appiah agrees to the offer, the presence of the Ghana captain would now offer Redknapp the opportunity to use the combative and holding midfielder in a central midfield role.

He would thus join compatriots Michael Essien of Chelsea, Richard Kingson of Wigan Athletic and John Paintsil in the English Barclaycard Premiership regarded as the best in the world.
