Past Management members of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club have
pledged their support for the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the
Club, Vincent Sowah Odotei.
The
members of the Management team from 2002 – 2007 met on Friday at the
Club’s secretariat and agreed to lend their support to Odotei and his
team, till their tenure runs out at the end of the season.
Ashford
Tettey Oku, Administrative Manager of the Club who said this in a
statement copied to GNA Sports added that the meeting also decided on
the exploration of other possible ways of unifying and strengthening
the bond of friendship among members of the Club.
Odotei
was appointed by the Board to serve as the Acting Chief Executive
Officer on Monday following the resignation of Harry Zakkour, who bowed
out after alleged disagreements with the Board over the resurfacing of
coach Eyal Lachman, who had earlier tendered his resignation to the
Management.
The meeting also appealed to all Phobians to
reassure themselves with the Club’s motto of “Never Say Die” and
remember that peace, unity and discipline are key elements for growth
and progress.
The meeting which was scheduled at the
instance of the Gbese Mantse and Adontenhene of the Ga State, Nii Ayi
Bonte, a former CEO of the Club was attended by Zakkour, Stephen
Akwetey, Odotei, Isaac Tetteh, Francis MacCarthy, Barima Atuahene and
Nana Agyemang.
The rest are Maxwell Addo, Alhaji Fawaz
Zowk, Frank Naro and Nana Ntiri-Kodua Asabre and the Administrative
Manager of the Club, Oku.
