The Ghana Armed Forces and the United States
Marine Corps will from Tuesday conduct a 10-day bilateral training
exercise in the Daboya general area in the Northern Region. The
exercise will also be carried out at Akim Achiase in the Eastern
Region.
The
training exercise which will involve troop movement of the two forces,
line firing as well as a humanitarian and civil affairs package is
aimed at enhancing the exchange of operational ideas between the
Ghanaian troops and the US marines.
A statement signed by the
Director of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces Colonel E.W.K.
Nibo said the exercise will also test the combat readiness of the
troops.
