Miss Piggy Throws Some Shade Joan Rivers’ Way While Making Her Big Fashionista Announcement

Forget the Fashion Police! We may need to call the actual police to break up this fight!

With Miss Piggy set to appear on the QVC channel at 6 p.m. tonight for their Red Carpet Style — Live From L.A. event where she’ll reveal her personally designed tote bag, the Muppet queen of the divas revealed that she’s launching her own lifestyle brand, Moi, on her March 16th appearance on the network!

In a recent interview, Miss Piggy turned her snout up at the thought of Joan Rivers‘ “Queen of Shopping” title:

“As a world class diva, it’s not just a good idea to have your own lifestyle brand — it’s the law. Many people don’t realize it, but if you don’t turn yourself into an empire, you can lose your diva’s license…Moi will be the greatest thing to come to QVC, and I look forward to being the reigning queen of shopping. If Joan Rivers can do it, I can do it better. How do you like them apples, Joannie!?”

This diss was the verbal equivalent of one Miss Piggy’s “HIYAH” punches!

It makes sense Miss Piggy would want to start her own lifestyle brand, seeing how she proved herself a fierce fashionista in The Great Muppet Caper.

However, apparently the news of her collection is also news to QVC:

“Actually, Miss Piggy’s announcement to launch her own lifestyle brand comes as a surprise to us, though a pleasant one. We look forward to seeing what happens when Miss Piggy and the Muppets visit QVC on March 16.”

We guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens when the cast of Muppets Most Wanted appears on the network this March 16th!
