A Japanese drinker had a night out he’ll want to forget when he woke up on a railway track missing his LEG.

The government worker, from Saga Prefecture, left for the subway after a night out with business colleagues, Japanese media reports.

He then stumbled on to the tracks at at Karatsu Station, where a train ran over part of his left leg causing him to pass out.

Reports claim he lay unnoticed for around six hours while his mangled foot and calf were stuck in the wheel of the train.

He then woke up, realised his limb was missing and then frantically called for an ambulance from his mobile phone.

The unfortunate commuter was still conscious when paramedics arrived who took him to the nearest hospital.

Police were investigating if alcohol was the main reason as to why he fell in the first place.

Japanese news agency TomoNews created a reconstruction video of the incident, which you can see above.
