Working 9 to 5! What a way to make a living!
34 years after Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin got their girl power on in the 1980 comedy classic, the two legends will be making a living off of their own Netflix show!
The original comedy series, Grace and Frankie, will feature the two ladies coming together after their husbands fall in love with each other!
Now THAT’S what we call a unique story! Love it!
The show’s creator and writer, Marta Kauffman, is no stranger to AH-Mazing TV either – she was one of the creators of Friends!
Netflix head Ted Sarandos voiced how excited his streaming media company is to have Jane and Lily coming to their “airwaves”, saying:
“Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are among the funniest and most formidable actresses ever and it’s an incredible privilege to give them the opportunity to run riot on Netflix. The show created for them by Marta and Howard is warm, very funny and anything but wholesome. We can’t wait.”
Neither can we!
So when do we get to meet Grace, Frankie, and their gay ex-hubbies??
Considering they haven’t even started shooting yet, it could be awhile before a release date is announced!
But when it does, OMG, we are gonna binge watch this show SO hard!
And our fingers are crossed that Dolly Parton will team up with her two onscreen gal pals again too![Image via 20th Century Fox.]
