We did not see this coming!
Brooke Burke-Charvet has been the co-host of Dancing with the Stars since season 10, but her run has come to an end.
The 42-year-old co-host tweeted about her dismissal from the show late on Friday night, revealing:
Even with something sad, she’s still got that wit!
DWTS executive producer Conrad Green also made a statement about Brooke leaving, explaining:
“We can confirm that Brooke Burke-Charvet will not be joining us next season. She’s been a wonderful part of the Dancing with the Stars family since her triumphant win in season seven and will unquestionably be missed by our entire team. We’d like to thank Brooke for her years of great service.”
And in addition to the tweet, Brooke also made a statement, saying:
“I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture. I’ve always been one to embrace change and looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn’t able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake.”
Sources have backed up that Brooke’s firing took everyone by surprise, and one insider added:
“It was a shock they let Brooke go. The cast and crew loved her. It’s very sad.”
We’re still waiting to hear on if Brooke will be replaced, and if so by who.
Thanks for keeping us entertained for all of this time, Brooke!
We can’t wait to see what’s she’s got in store for the world now!
