This was made known on Monday in New Delhi, by the country’s Minister for Women and Child Development, Maneka Gandhi.
According to her, the police were still battling with identifying the body which was discovered on Saturday in a village located in Bareilly District.
The Minister further revealed that some days ago, two young girls who were cousins between the ages of 14 and 16 were kidnapped, raped and murdered.
Gandhi said that the recent case has generated a lot of violence in Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the country, adding that she was still studying the mutilated girl case when the teenage cousin’s tragedy occurred.
“Both cases are heart-rending and we have asked the Uttar Pradesh Government to take action” Gandhi said.
She also hinted that government would build rape victim centres in all the district of the country for the purpose of rendering medical and legal help to the victims.
